New Years Inspirations instead of Resolutions

I am so thankful that I no longer make New Years Resolutions. No excuses needed. I don’t need that kind of pressure. I place enough unrealistic expectations upon myself daily, the thought of sitting down and making a list of things I MUST do this year is just is not for me.

I had a revelation years ago that it is way better to set goals and then strive to achieve them in an attainable time frame. Dream BIG! Expect to do amazing things. However, give yourself grace! Understand that you are doing incredible things everyday and take time to live in those moments.

This year I encourage you to take time to think about your biggest most extraordinary dream and ask yourself if you are ready to go after it. Then take tiny steps to make it happen, with no other expectation than to awaken a desire to go after something you really want and know that something big is coming your way.

I am telling you right now; you have to believe in yourself, you have to trust that you can do anything you set your heart on. Each day will come with its own challenges but you just have to meet them as best you can and keep going.

I have a lot of huge dreams that I had hidden away for years, doubting that I could still attain them. But I put aside the fear of failing and promised myself that I would wake up each day and do the best I could, take one step closer to achieving all of the things I dream of and enjoy every moment of the process.

I hope this year, you are inspired to follow your heart, say no to ridiculous resolutions that make you feel like you are less than wonderful. Find ways to make everyday enjoyable even if it isn’t perfect. Be grateful for all of your small victories, be encouraged to chase your biggest dreams in 2023 and well beyond. I will be here to give you a high five.
